SIMPLE NoSew BABY BEANIE CAP FROM WOMENS PANTS

Materials Needed
 - Goodwill Store or your own closets
 - one pair ladies/women's stretchy polyester/cotton pants/sleepwear
slightly flared is best, NOT sweatpants, leggings or jeggings
 - sharp scissors
cut pants
 - tape measure

How To Construct
 - lay out your pants on a flat surface
 - with tape measure, measure 14" from
    bottom hem up towards knee
tape to remove lint, pet hair, etc
 - cut 14" off one leg of the slacks,
you should have one 14" tall tube
 - put rest of the pants aside
 - tie a knot at the very top of the tube

Things To Consider
- for newborn/infant caps the width of pant leg should be about 5-6 inches
- the best type slacks are: cotton/poly/rayon/spandex blends, pajamas pants, etc
- you want them to stretch, but not straight legged, they're not wide enough to fit a baby's head
- look for pants that are in good condition, especially the bottom edges.
- Don't use old, frayed pants.Yuk.
- ladies pajama pants make great lightweight caps
- Don't use old lady 100% polyester pants.
- Make sure there is cotton in them. And some spandex too.
- wash your pants before you make the hat and use tape to remove
      any pet hair, fuzz, etc.
